Maliq & D’Essentials is one of the most famous jazz and soul band from Indonesia which was formed back in 2002. Since 2005, this band always have a sold-out show at Jakarta International Java Jazz Music Festival. They are also have been nominated and won several awards from MTV Indonesia Music Awards, AMI Awards to MTV Asia Music Awards. In 2009, their album titled “Mata Hati Telinga” was given Best Album 2009 award by Rolling Stones Indonesia magazine.
